Lynn Redgrave (1943 -- 2010)
Lynn Redgrave is part of a five-generation acting family. Her grandparents, both her parents (Sir Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson), her sister Vanessa and brother Corin, as well as nieces Natasha Richardson, Joely Richardson and Jemma Redgrave ñ actors all.
Lynn made her stage debut in 1962 in A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Royal Court Theatre. In the 60's she appeared in the Oscar-winning Tom Jones and Girl With Green Eyes. But most notably she played the lead in Georgy Girl (1966), which won her a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination ñ alongside her sister, who was also nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment. Lynn was again nominated for a Golden Globe and Oscar for Gods & Monsters (1998).
Lynn was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2002 and died only 67 years old.
